| Yes, of course there was a very short soundtrack for Behold Little Padawan! this story that I listened to while writing (it tends to happen with me). Anywho, I'm offering up the soundtrack if you want to download it. There's a 13-track listing with commentary, followed by the download link. It's...eclectic to say the least. There's no album art, primarily because I have no graphics-making skills. ( Behold Little Padawan Soundtrack )The management would love it if you would comment when you download.- Tags:character: andrew, character: ensemble, character: faith, character: oc, character: xander, fanfiction: 2007, fanfiction: behold little padawan, fanfiction: buffy the vampire slayer, fanfiction: fic-a-thon, soundtrack: 2007, soundtrack: fandom

| I apologize for not commenting back to people commenting here lately, but between "season of broke" activities, RL, and a fic-a-thon commitment I totally spaced on, I've been slightly overwhelmed. [The "season of broke," as I not-so-fondly call it, tends to run from mid-April to mid-June, and again from mid-November to mid-January. The season of broke tends to be the areas where all major holidays, family celebrations, and unexpected expenses tend to crop up.] For those of you wondering, yes, I will finish posting the following stories very soon: The goal is to get these finished over the next month (and I do apologize for the delay). Part of it is that when I post a part, it takes me roughly 2 hours to do so, mostly because of formatting and final read-throughs pre- and post-posting of a part. Also, for whatever reason, "cutting and pasting" from any kind of word processing program into Firefox means that the blasted formatting won't hold. Let's not even get into the mess IE makes of anything I cut and paste into that interface. I think the phrase, "It el suck-os the big weiner-o" is not out of line here. In the meantime, I've got two other things to get out:
- The annual
lynnevitational fic-a-thon
- A soopah-sekrit project which I can't say anything about right now (this one is on-going and won't be out soon)
My lynnevitational entry should be...ummmm...different. For me. It's something I've been kicking around for two years, but I've been hella nervous about throwing it out there. I suspect that someone, somewhere is going to be hella insulted by it and the premise, so I expect there might be some wank if I put it out. That means I'll be needing eyes. I most especially need Brit- and Spike-pickers. I desperately need you. I also need someone who's willing to read a story that is told from the point of view of someone who is, ummm, a little slow. Mentally. See, that's the potentially wank-tastic part. I need someone who's got a good sense of where the line is between good writing, bad writing, clichéd writing, and insulting writing. Looking at it from my (admittedly) limited PoV, it reads okay to me. It might not be okay for someone who lives with the issue every day. If there are any volunteers (remember, I especially need Brit- and Spike-pickers), just reply here with a way for me to get in touch with you. All responses to this post are being screened to maintain privacy. I will get back to everyone who responds. Now Playing: |

| Title: The Murder of Crows (Blackhawk Down Remix)Author: Lizbeth Marcs ( liz_marcs) Summary: Sam has learned that it’s better to be a crow than a bird of prey. Strangely enough, he’s okay with that. Rating: PG Fandom: Battlestar Galactica (2003) Spoilers: Definite spoilers for the New Caprica arc at the beginning of Season 3; vague spoilers through the end of Season 3. Title, Author and URL of original story: Tessellation by fahyeAuthor's Note:There's this saying on Battlestar Galactica (2003): "All of this has happened before, and all of this will happen again." Battlestar Galactica was my original fandom (think pre-adolescent) and the first fandom in which I wrote fanfic. And here's me again writing Battlestar Galactica as an adult. Talk about your Cycle of Time, hunh? Before I link to the story, I want to thank nwhepcat and soundingsea for listening to me rant, rail, and wail via email while I wrote this. So, will I write Battlestar Galactica (the new version) ever again? I really, really doubt it. Canon is flipping complicated and intricate. That's why there's a huge Wiki for it. But then again, when I stopped writing fanfic the first time — and the second time — I would have confidently told you that I would never, ever write Battlestar Galactica fanfiction ever again. Which only goes to show, doesn't it? The Murder of Crows (Blackhawk Down Remix), Part 1The Murder of Crows (Blackhawk Down Remix), Part 2 |

| Unh, well, when I say "my" remix story, I don't mean the one I wrote. I'm not going to make anyone guess, either, because...well there's a good reason for it and I can't tell you why because that might give away which one is mine. Any-hoo. My remixer did a fabulous job with my original, which was a misguided attempt at trying my hand at minimalism. He/she hung muscle and flesh on them thar bones and came up with a very sweet little B/X story. It appears that I lucked out again this year. The only thing that confused me was the link went to the original, half-destroyed version on Fanfiction.Net (Thanks to all those Pit of Voles updates, a lot of the formating got stripped away.) That's when I realized that I never unhid the version I transfered to LJ and I never linked to the shiny formatted version in my "all my fics" post. I am a dumbkoff! Deeeeeeerrrrr, Liz! Way to go! Anyway, here's my original (shiny new LJ version!) Two Words, in which Buffy has an early morning conversation with Xander, but you only see her half of the conversation. Xander not only doesn't speak, you don't see him at all! Wheeee! An experiment in writing! And here's Wake Up Slow (Second Time Around Remix), wherein it's an actual, full story! Now complete with a Xander! And Xander's half of the conversation! And Xander thoughts, even! Yay! Once more, a remix that's bigger and better than the original, folks. Go give the remixer some big love for working with a really minimalist piece of fluff and giving it some sweet legs. |

| Damn, I have crap to do today, but it appears the remix_redux is opening its doors. Because the community was friendslocked to keep the stories private (except for the sockpuppets that had to post), it's probably going to be a few hours before all the stories are public. *bites nails* Yeah. I'll be busy reading. And refreshing. I'm always freakin' nervous when the remix_redux goes public. |

| No, I didn't skip a part. I'm posting two parts back-to-back to cover my Monday and Tuesday postings. All parts can be found here. Continued from Part 4A. |
|
| There'll be something of a two-fer tonight. Sorry about not updating this last week, but I had logic hole in this part. Considering it's an "Andrew" part, it was like finding a bent straw in a haystack so you can fix it. So, here's the Monday part, which will be quickly followed by the Tuesday part. All parts can be found here. Continued from Part 3B. |
|
| As you can see, it's been a busy couple of "news days" for me, so I got caught up in chasing down RL stuff instead of fanfiction. Apologies for the interrupted service. Now, back to the story in progress. All parts can be found here. Continued from Part 2B. |

| Stooopid LJ wouldn't let me post this next part in one piece. Gah. *growl snarl* After this, to bed. All parts can be found here. Continued from Part 1. |
