Massive Distributed Denial of Service attack, probably through a botnet of zombie computers, according to both status and the_lj_herald.

I can recommend the Herald as the best one stop shop for all LJ news, very very good.

I'm also getting comment notifications abot three hours late on avarage, currently :-(

Mine are intermittent; I seem to be able to post now, but other friends can't. I'm not getting comments, but that's a known workaround. Most annoying. The link from below has an interesting theory:
