P.S. — I'm pre-paid for more than a year, so I'm not disappearing right away, just making arrangements for a permanent move to elsewhere, oh, a year from now.

Not going anywhere. My account doesn't run out until July 2008 anyway. While I'm not terribly impressed with LJ's apology at the moment, I'm willing to hold off any final decision about keeping a paid account here depending on what LJ does over the next 14 months.

In any case, no matter what, I'll at least keep a basic account if I let the LJ paid account lapse.

One thing's for certain: that $150 I was going to give LJ for a perm account? Not a chance. Ever. Instead, I dropped $40 on InsaneJournal ($30 for a perm account, $10 for expanded) and figured I saved $110 that I would've otherwise spent.
