Somebody really needs to write a Brisco/Buffy cross
There I am, watching 'The Brooklyn Dodgers,' which is on Disc 5 of The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. and what do my wondering eyes see?
Mercedes McNab playing a runaway.
To be honest, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. She looked about 12, but it sounded like her voice.
I was close. She was 14-years-old.
And credited as Mercedes Alicia McNab.
First Christian Clemenson as a cool Buffy connection, now Mercedes McNab as a cool connection between Buffy and Angel.
Seriously, I'm laughing.
Hey, John Bly claimed he was from more than 600 years in the future, and Lord knows what that orb does.
No, I'm serious. The crossover writes itself.
Or rather, for one of you guys. I'll be over here. Finishing my own stuff.

I started one under a different pen name a few years ago.
A Man Called Arizona
Then I got side tracked and changed pen names.

(Anonymous) 2006-10-17 03:03 pm (UTC)(link)I so loved "Road Less Traveled"!
I almost threw something after you stopped updating.
Now I get to go through everything you have written under this psuedonym.
Sweet!

(Anonymous) 2006-10-17 06:35 am (UTC)(link)In that very same episode, I too was laughing at the Buffy/Agel connections but that's cos I noticed two of them... the guy (goes by character name of Simon Wolfe) that ran the orphanage that Mercedes (and her brother) were from, the one that tries to claim their inheritance and gets killed by the Irish mob (or whoever they are) at the beginning, is none other than W&H's Holland Manners (or Sam Anderson).
Like you said, the crossover is just begging to be written. It's like the great grandparents of two of the Buffyverse characters or something... Harmony's great grandmother inherits some money, but by the time BTVS roles around she's merely on the upper side of middle class. Whereas Holland's family are always trying to get the quick fix to obtain money/power up without success, until the point where Holland sells his soul to W&H.
Hell, with the similarities that normally get commented on, Xander could easily be a descendant of Brisco.
Though if don't want to take that route, can easily just have it that W&H obtains one of the Orbs, and time starts to unravel, leading Brisco to get recruited to save the future again (and who isn't amused by the thought of Brisco and Bowler one hundred years out of their time? - "Bowler, look at all these old 'new things'...")
Can someone write this please..?

(Anonymous) 2006-10-17 03:05 pm (UTC)(link)I think Brisco might do pretty well in the future. He always seemed pretty in to the new futuristic machines that the professor and all the villains kept showing up with, like horseless carriages and tanks and zeppelins, not to mention the orb itself. Bowler, on the other hand, would be a serious "fish out of water" in the future. Of course he seemed that way on the show every once in a while.
