Ahhhhhh! entrenous88 sent me a virtual Valentine's Day Card. Yay!

This is what I get for being sick. I haven't turned on the computer at home because I just collapse on the couch right after supper. (If you're waiting for the last four parts of Behold!, sorry about that, but I couldn't even look at a computer screen to get the formatting and editing done.)

I know this is horribly belated, but thank you, chica! ^_^

However, what life giveth, life can taketh away.

Someone has to work tomorrow.

It appears I was waaaaaaay sicker than I thought on Tuesday and Wednesday. I spent yesterday reading over everything I wrote and realized that it was all gibberish. As in Not English. Well, the words were English, but the actual sentence construction was not.

It looked like my keyboard threw up in Word.

So I spent the past two days fixing it. Now I have to punch out a minimum of 10 (yes 10) highly technical and heavily referenced pages tomorrow. Complete with glossary. And bibliography.

*weeps unashamedly*

There goes my weekend for getting my tax crap done.

Unfortunately, I have to do it, or I'll be working 12-hour days all next week.

I stayed home from work today even though I'm feeling slightly better.

I know I'm feeling better because I woke up and realized that my bathroom smelled like ass and looked worse.

[The rest of my apartment can be a sty, but goddamn that bathroom better be clean otherwise I go out of my skull.]

As I'm cleaning, I realize something:

Oh my God everything is covered in black stuff and it came from the radiators!

I then start going on a cleaning spree.

Everything is covered in fucking black!

Windows. Television. Furniture. George the Amazing Lovebird!

What the fuckety-fuck-fuck?

My CO alarm didn't go off (the light's on, I checked) My lungs are clear and I haven't hard trouble breathing. George is being as bird-y as ever.

But just the same, When the hell did this happen?

Obviously it came from the damn furnace but I'm flummoxed.

Thank God the day is warmish because windows are open while I'm scrubbing everything in sight (I'm only half-done).

I don't know if me feeling sick-ish for the past week has anything to do with anything because I was feeling icky at work as well with chills.

But ho-leee shit.

It's too late to call the landlord, but I'm going to have to tomorrow.

Feel. Like. Crap.

Which means I've been laying like a blob on the couch after I get home from work and unable to move.

Know what sucks about being sick and single? Still have chores to do and no energy to do them. Bleh.

I think I've watched more teevee in the past three days than I have in the past two weeks.

Blurgh. I need to go lie down. My head feels too spinny and my eyes hurt..

I think I've been fighting a gastrointestinal thing because my stomach has been feeling like crap since Sunday. I think I may have to bite the bullet and suck down some Gatorade because Tums is doing squat for me...so's Emergen-C

Last month I mentioned that Netflix was going to offer free 'instant viewing' in addition to however many DVDs you get.

Remember, this is in addition to your subscribed rate, so it doesn't affect the number of DVDs you'd have at one time and it doesn't cost you any extra. They're rolling this feature out slowly to the membership, so you may or may not have this yet. You can tell you have it by looking at the tabs at the top of your screen. If you see "Watch Now," that means you have instant viewing.

The selection Netflix is offering is pretty small so far, but already 9 of the movies in my cue are available for instant viewing. But still, that means I can clear my que out a little bit if I feel like it.
