*ahem* 7 hours...and 25 minutes

Ahhhh, after a long day at my normal job, I will be going to work at my local Borders tonight for the Harry Potter party.

Yes, I will be a-sellin'.

Then I will be a-buyin' at 1 a.m.

And though I've got the VCR ready to tape Stargate:SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica, I'm pretty sure that I'll be a-readin' and not a-watchin'.

{Good bet I won't be a-writtin' either. There will be delays on account of Potterage.}

And since I want to be polite, I'll be LJ-cutting everything for spoilers.

Just over two hours here. Won't get any spoilers from me as I've never read any of the HP books and don't intend to ever read any of them.

Oh,oh, I get mine tomorrow, and it's my birthday!. Really.
Jealous of you with the new Battlestar Galactica eps. I have to wait until whenever Space Channel decides to show it up here in Canada. I think September..*sigh*

Spoilers! Not really...

I ordered the European version of the new book--the adult version--so I won't have my copy delivered until next Friday. I work at Walmart, however, so after I got off around 1am, I grabbed a copy, went over to the furniture section, sprawled out on a futon, and read the last 20-30 pages.

I'm not going to spoil the ending, but I will confirm that somebody does die, and say that it's the person I wanted to. Anybody that has seen the adult European cover knows that Harry is in Advanced Potions, so I WILL spoil by saying that Snape has finally gotten his dream job--you'll find that out pretty quickly anyway, I expect. From the ending, it seems as though there is a lot of Harry/Snape interraction, which I was hoping for, so I'm happy about that. Harry does start dating a girl, and it's definitely not the one I wanted. I won't spoil whether it's Hermione or Ginny, but I will say it should have been Luna, darnit.

All in all? The ending of book six makes me look forward to reading the rest of it. At this point I am very optimistic that book six will restore my good feelings for the series, which book five so effectively erased. I hated book five. :)
