Anyway, have I mentioned how much I love mixes? I mean, I totally adore the whole thing when DJs cleverly mix two or more songs together to come up with something original and new.

Thanks to the MP3 blogs today, I came across an awesome DJ with cool mixes. I've been grooving at work all day...since it's pathology day I needed I little grooving.

Anyway, apologies for the wait on Part 14 for Water Hold Me Down. There's a lot of information that needs to be put forward in the next part in order to move the Cleveland half of the story forward. While all the information I need to put forward is ticking along point-by-point, the exposition took a form I didn't expect. It isn't so much a struggle to pull it together as it is to reign everything back down to Water Hold Me Down levels and prevent a Living History-like blow-up. Water is meant to be a more intimate story, not a grand romp.

Have I mentioned that I'm stupid? And complicated? I know Part 14 will be ready by the end of the week, so no worries.

You're right, that song is really cool the way it's mixed together. I've never actually heard anything like that before.

You don't know enough DJs. I've known a couple of them and they used to pull stuff like this all the time, though nothing quite as talented as this guy.

Of course, this was a couple of years ago before soundmixing like this went pro. DigiDesign has free software that you can download and I *think* it lets you do stuff like this.

I know that you could mix tracks together with Cool Edit Pro back in the late 90's (I had a copy of that program and used it for some wave-form editing when I was bored and supposed to be in class). I've just never heard different songs put together like that. All the musicians I've ever known were either indie rockers or punks.

Did it work? Have I correctly manage to post something? Oh well, here's hoping. I didn't download anything as I'm still ripping out clumps of hair trying to figure out how to properly navigate a few of these sites. Just doing my part by stating that I, too, am eagerly awaiting your next installment of WHMD.
