Boston-Area Steampunk Festival

Note for myself and Boston-area peeps who are Steampunk fans:

The Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation in Waltham, MA is hosting the New England Steampunk Festival on Saturday, May 1, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

According to the flyer (downloadable at the CRMI&I Website) it's apparently a big deal, complete with interactive exhibits, working craftsmen and blacksmiths on-site, weaponry demonstrations, live music, fashion shows, live action roleplaying...

Sounds like a freaky good time to me.

For my Boston-area peeps who are already marking their calendars for this, tix are $6 for adults, $4 for kids.

From what I understand, they actually had scheduled it for April 10, but flooding damage from the Charles forced the reschedule.

I saw the "we're closed due to flooding" notice on their front page. Yikes!
