Working Is Kicking My Ass...So Here's a Video of Fred Astaire Dancing to Smooth Criminal

What?

Hollywood Golden Age Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, and Leslie Caron dancing to Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal."

What did you think I meant?

That is awesome.

You know someone spent something like a bajillion years editing that together.

Fandom is such a funny thing.

Well is something you don't see everyday, not that I'm complaining mind you.

It's a good editing job, too. :-)

That is INCREDIBLE!! What a terrific job! God, I LOVE Fred Astaire!

Thank you for pointing us to it!

Wow. Some of the moves were very Michael Jacksonish - I bet Michael spent a lot of time viewing Astaire's movies. This is dating me but I can see Alister Mundy ("It takes a Thief") in his prime as this smooth criminal *g*

That was neat!

Also, I never noticed this before, but Hugh Laurie kind of looks like Fred Astaire.

Now that you mention it .... *headdesk*

Damn! He does, doesn't he?

You... are my hero.

That's just gorgeous. A really unique combo and some awesome vid skills. Thanks for the link, I adored this.

Liz, I think I just fell in love with you!

This vid is awesome! Fred Astaire has always been my favorite of the Golden Age song and dance men. And if I hadn't known about this, I'd have thought it was real and not an edit job.

Y'know, despite never having seen a Fred Astaire movie, that was incredibly awesome. I'm actually rather curious now to see some of the movies he was in. : )
