Question for Dru fans...
This is going to sound like an out-of-the-blue question, but, for you Druscilla fans out there:
I need clarification on Miss. Edith. Whenever Dru does something bad, does she always hide Miss Edith's eyes? (I seem to remember several instances where this has happened in the show's run). Also, does Miss Edith always refer to a doll, or is Miss Edith whatever random/invisible person Dru fixates on?
I know Dru has threatened her dolls with "not letting them watch" her do bad things if "they didn't behave," but I only seem to remember one instance of that.
I've dug through the Guides and the Transcripts for this stuff, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something.

Where you can search for every instance of "Miss%Edith" (wow, only three?) and be rewarded.
I can't tell you how often I use this thing. It's wonderful.

Ahem...
There is no sign of Miss Edith in the AtS S2 reappearance of Dru, and only the slightest reference in S5 Buffy (a china doll is found on the empty train in "Crush"). Miss Edith itself was left behind when Spike took Dru away at the end of S2; Buffy saw it in Angel's mansion in "Beauty and the Beasts". No references to dolls in the "Fool For Love" flashback, the "Lies" flashbacks, or in "Destiny" or "The Girl in Question", AtS S5 flashbacks. This leads me to believe that, at least some of the time, the infantilism of Dru is an act, used to get others to do what she wants by forcing them into the position of "responsible adult". Part of that comes from actual weakness, but there's a huge difference between weak early S2 Dru and the Dru we see post-"What's My Line?", especially in the Brazil "FFL" flashback and in "Crush". The girl sees things that aren't there, to be sure, but she know a hawk from a hacksaw. (And she would recognize the reference.)
That being said, Edith shows up in the way you mention in "School Hard" and nowhere else. Otherwise, Edith is shown as a prop, mostly used to get Spike's attention off other things (the means to affect Dru's recovery and, importantly, Buffy) and back onto Dru where it belongs. She is mentioned or used in "Halloween", "What's My Line?" (and collected with the tools she uses to torture Angel), and "Innocence". And, come to think of it, that's the point you want: when she went to torture Angel, she took Miss Edith to watch.
