Ship Manifesto List Has Been Reposted...Plus, Have I Been Here That Long?

Awesome!

It appears that [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto has risen from the dead, complete with a MasterList.

And check it out! My Ship Manifesto on Xander/Faith still exists!

And yes, it's pre-comic book. Which I will never consider part of the television canon (Hell, even Joss is taking the well-trod route that Star Trek, Star Wars, and many other fandoms and considers the comics separate from television canon. I say we support his contention.)

Of course, the links to fics are old-ish, and I suspect that some of them doesn't work what with fandom drift.

And, wow, it was written more than more than 3 years ago?

Holy Cow. Have I been here that long?

Heh. Whereas I'm like, "You've ONLY written that much in 4 years?" I average about 600 entries a year -- though a lot of mine are short, and most of your entries are lengthy.

Your manifesto directly influenced my first Buffy fanfic, along with your fic and nwhepcat's work.

As for the shipper's vociferousness...Jeebus. I'm considerably meh on a variety of ships, especially of the Spander variety. Still, dude, it's a fanfic. You don't like it, click the X in the corner of your browsing tab.

As the newly signed up co-mod of [livejournal.com profile] ship_manifesto who just spent three boggling days going through every single post in that community to make sure I got every available manifesto coded into that list, I was quite gleeful to find this post on my flist when I got home. Someone noticed! Yay! :D

Actually, we've had over a dozen people sign up since the reposting. Newer fandoms are getting in on the act too. And we're gong to be opening up already claimed and written pairings for new manifestos. New ideas, new canon, new fic, etc etc. The fun never stops. ;)

I just have to thank you for including me in that great write up :) Ah, the good old days when I used to write fanfic :)
