Happy Thanksgiving to My U.S. Peeps...

The Internet is truly an ever-evolving wonder.

Once upon a time, I could only post snippets of the infamous Turkeys Away episode from WKRP in Cincinnati on this here journal that had been illegally uploaded to YouTube.

Thanks to the joy that is Hulu, I can now post the entire episode. In Hi-Def.

The good part begins at the 17:00 minute mark.

As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly. — Arthur Carlson

I mean HULU doesn't work outside the USA.

Ooops! Sorry! :-(

Here's a link you can play via YouTube that only contains the scene in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2ifyi8-lxo

Don't worry, you're in gowhat some would consider good company, Joss made the same mistake when he released Dr. Horrible. His internet revolution that was going to take over the world - and he released it on a video site that could only be viewed if you lived in the US.

Ah, man. A classic episode, and responsible for a memorable lunch moment at work a few years back when Steve the editor and I were waxing nostalgic about WKRP and that episode in particular, and Gus, who graduated high school the same year as Buffy Summers, said, "Yeah. Radio stations do a lot of crazy things as promos."

The poor dear had no idea we were talking about a fictional radio station. The rest of the table suddenly felt like reaching for the Geritol.

Hee. I remember that ep. : )

Happy Thanksgiving, Liz!

The funny thing is, WILD turkeys (not the liquor) can fly.

I so loved that show. I just put the theme song as a ringtone last week and then promptly had it stuck in my head for the entire day. I ran around singing it all day long. Half my office had no clue what it was.
