John Kerry on the Daily Show?!?!

Holy Shit!

Just read this on Salon and double-checked it via The Washington Post, which spells out some interesting reasons why Kerry went with The Daily Show, and The Houston Chronicle on Google.

John Kerry is going to be on The Daily Show tonight at 11 p.m.

He's going to be on two segments like Clinton was.

Excuse me while I blink at my computer.

I was watching the Daily Show last night and it was pretty amazing. When Stewart announced that Kerry was going to be the Tuesday guest, the audience sort of laughed and very clearly did not believe him.

Did you watch the show? I have to watch it today at 7. I'm asleep at 11 in the evenings. Boring, I know.

I thought the words the WP article used in discribing how the Kerry spokesperson, er, spoke, was very telling 'snapped', 'shot back' etc. Made the spokesperson sound really defensive. I wonder if that was a subtle dig at Kerry.

I can see why he would go on the Daily Show, though. They do have a rather Democratic bent.

Still, I like people who try to use humor.
