Star Wars Holiday Special...in 5 minutes!

Whee! 'Tis the Season indeed!

First, I give you this absolute gift of a Star Wars Holiday Special review (the review with animated pictures will have you laughing until you're sick).

Then, because this is the Internet where you can find anything, an actual fansite for the Star Wars Holiday Special.

And finally, The Star Wars Holiday Special in 5 minutes! Yay!

I made it to the 4:14 mark. Then the stabbing pain in my eyes made me stop.

Check it out:

Wow. I am old enough to have experienced that the first time but thankfully my memory is blank. I was doing fine, with small winces until the cantina scene and I vaporlocked. Abort, Abort.

I made it through the cantina scene, only to cry out in pain when I saw Han Solo sneak up on a stormtrooper while standing right in front him.

Gah!

LOL
What's worse is that I recall seeing it when it was first on and thinking what drugs were they taking? There's a porny bit when the Jefferson Starship start singing and the singer in silhouette is holding a mike that in shadow looks horribly phallic. Also Bea Arthur channeling Marlene Dietrich - how did they get her to appear and how much Lucas and the actors get for appearing in this?
Wow anything can turn up on the internet - I wonder if they'll find Nixon's missing 18 1/2 minutes *g*

Have I told you lately that I adore you? XD

As my friend said when I showed her this, "That's terrible in all the best ways!"

OMG OMG OMG That is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Hey...you bailed before you got to see and hear Princess Lea sing some "Life Day" song. Hilarious....the Wookies in the red robes were priceless.

OMFG! Princess Lea singing is what finally pushed me over the edge and I couldn't get the damned YouTube video to STOPPPPP!!

That was excruciating!! and...and... it's REAL??

I'm glad that I somehow led a sheltered enough life that I missed it the 1st go'round... otherwise I'm pretty sure that a 2nd viewing would've resulted in serious visual or synaptic damage...

arghhhhh!

I'd heard people refer to this special and I thought it was apocryphal. I never, ever thought TPTB would be so strange as to actually *make* a Star Wars Christmas special... Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined it could be this bad.

I think I have to go lie down now.

Arghh.

I managed to avoid that all my life until now.

Thanks for the link (and by "thanks," I mean, "why do you hate your FList so much?" ;>

Happy Life Day / Solstice / Zwanzaa / Christmas & Happy New Year!

57 seconds. I made it 57 seconds, and then it was game over.

Happy holidays, and all that.

I see you the youtube and raise you the entire special

You can download the complete holiday special at the above link and then burn it to dvd. It's my favorite part of the original quadrilogy.
