Gosh, the choice between books or music nearly killed me. I used to read a 200 page novel in under an hour, and up to four a day, over the holidays (more than that and they all got messed up in my head!). These days, I can't live without music, but I don't read as many books...

It helps to be a little bit flakey, I think. :-)

Plus, the other thing that helped is that my hobby (writing) happens to also be my job. :-)

I tried hobby as job once, but gaming isn't the same as writing really, so yeah, I get that.

And I really do like that icon, was one of the better ones of that days uploads, I really like that LJ feature.

Fascinating. Apparently, I'm a Mandarin, which is not what I expected, but the description does seem to suit me:
