Awwww. *blushes*

The McDuffie article was one of our inspirations early on. And since then, many of the shows (if not all) he suggests would bring in whole lists of others - like Happy Days and Mary Tyler Moore - have actually been connected to Tommy's Mind as well!

The page he links to has been a source of some help across the years. Thom Holbrook is attempting to catalogue every crossover ever - so occasionally we'll find connections between his separate universes. We've helped him to clarify connections in the past, too. It's like doing a family tree!

Tom Fontana of St Elsewhere, Homicide, Oz and others was also quoted as saying he knew about some of these connections - but expected it would cover 90% of television. So he continues to make these little connections himself in his shows. We were also linked to in his blog a few years back!

My partner in crime at [livejournal.com profile] tommywestphall, [livejournal.com profile] westphallian, is a little behind with the update of spreadsheets and jpegs and pdf files... but at current count, we have 280 shows linked to St. Elsewhere!

Only one season of St. Elsewhere is out on DVD at the moment. The irony being, even I have seen very little of that show. I've constructed this whole fun theory around it's closing minutes and I really have little memory of the show myself. This whole thing was born in Homicide fandom back in Usenet days! That is to say pre-LJ, which is like the Jurassic period really :-)

Thanks for the linkage!
