I've never understood this arguement. I grew up with records and I as far as I could observe once CDs came out 99.9% of the listening world went OMG and generally threw out their vinyl! There's supposed to be some sort of 'warmth' that is missing from CDs isn't there? IMHO what's missing are all the crackles, pops and hisses that spoiled the recording. Particularly when you take into account that the problem gets worse with every playing of the record whereas a CD is always perfect.
