Sorry for the disappearing act yesterday.
I am having a meeting-licious week, which apparently includes surprise meetings that spring up 15 minutes before I'm due to run into them.
No, I'm not in trouble. Just hopping busy.
Anyway, FYI, over the past 24 hours I've ended up banning what appears to be
8 12 18 20 "spam journals" that have left nonsense replies to some old posts from roughly a year ago.
Side note: Suddenly, I'm really, really,
really glad that I've banned anonymous commenting. I shudder to think just how bad this could be if it was still allowed.
Anyway, I'm dealing with the spam journals as they pop up. While I'm very sure I haven't banned any real people, if you are a real person and have found yourself banned from commenting, ping me and I'll unban you.
I might look at your user name funny considering the weirdness of some of the spamming, but I will unban you.
ETA: It should be noted that the comments the spam journals leave behind are odd, but not necessarily anything that stands out as particularly inappropriate.
It isn't until you check the journals themselves that the wrongness comes into play. All of the spam journals have no "friends," and consist of a single post that, on the surface, seems to be talking about health care or the economy. However, if you try to read that post you realize that it's complete gibebrish.
Also, this single post seems to have the same set of tags at the end of the single post. Almost all tags are sexually explicit in nature, with a particular focus on either gay sex or underage sex.
Just FYI...
ETA2: By request, I'm providing 17 out of 20 of the banned journals. Amazingly enough, 3 of the journals I've banned and reported as spam journals have already been suspended, so there's no point in presenting them here.
Here be my blacklist so you can preemptively ban the little darlings for yourselves:

kokuten that the the words that look like LJ tags at the bottom of the single post are actually off-site links.
