Addictive Movie Title Game

Want to see the Website that kept me up until an ungodly hour?

M&M Dark Chocolate Movie Title Game.

You need to have Flash enabled to play.

Basically, you have to find the "movie titles" hidden in a large "painting." Click on the object of interest within the painting and type in your answer. Be aware, for some of it you're going to have to get in very close to the "painting" to find what you're looking for.

I managed to get 39 out of 50 without "cheating" and Googling for help. Not all of the answers are at all obvious.

It's way too addictive to be healthy.

Now I have to go back to fall-cleaning. *bleh*

The ones that totally, absolutely stumped me were Death-in-the-little-bullring and the guys with the 0's. ((facepalm))

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I had to google the answers for those myself. :-)

I can spill because the answers fall into the "not obvious, but when you see the answer you facepalm."

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, somebody told me what it was already, it was just one of those "FUCKING FACEPALM" moments.

[identity profile] bigsciencybrain.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Death-in-the-little-bullring is driving me mad...

A few of these have made me laugh out loud though, because the "riddle" is oh-so-hilarious. :)

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Death in the bullring was one of those I gave up on. You'll groan in horror if you hear the answer because it's one of those things that make you face-palm.

I am ashamed to admit that it took me forever to figure out Jupiter and Saturn rushing towards each other. I blame the 'Science Fiction, Double Feature' from the Rocky Picture Horror Show for the fact that I couldn't figure it out until I hit 38.

Me too! I kept thinking it was referring to Solaris or some damned thing.

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 02:20 am (UTC)(link)
I was going with "When Worlds Collide."

I only hit on the answer because I was totally desperate and gave it a blind shot.

And don't talk to me about the solution for the mountains. I had completely forgotten that was a movie.

The thing I'm shocked I got right on the first try was the guy with the telescope hanging out the window. I thought the clue was too obvious, but that's actually one a lot of people seemed to be asking about.

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
I only got the mountains because finally I was looking at every element of the picture as a puzzle, if you know what I mean -- sort of like looking at stuff in Zork, if that makes sense.

....bzuh. Not a lot of classic movie fans?

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 01:39 am (UTC)(link)
d00d, trust me, Death-in-the-little-bullring you're not gonna get, and when someone tells you, it's gonna be one of those "OH MY FUCKING GOD" moments. (I couldn't get off the idea of Death in the Afternoon myself.)

[identity profile] bigsciencybrain.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
I finally Google-ed it. *headdesks*

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's one of those that makes complete sense once you have the answer, but really doesn't when you're trying to figure it out.

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
I KNOW, RIGHT? Man oh man.

I got 40, and lost half an hour of my life....

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
*snicker*

Oh, yeah. It's hypnotic. The music doesn't help, does it?

Not in the least! And the continual feeling that if you look at it juuuust right, you'll get the clue.

Anytime now.

Shame to close it when you're so close....

I hate you.. ~has 18 so far~

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
It's absolutely mind-numbing. I spent a lot of time at 16 if it's any consolation, before I had my Ah-HA! Moment and nailed 10 in a row without stopping.

[identity profile] faithhopetricks.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it's almost like something goes click! in your brain and then you can see the solutions.

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
It clicked into place when I figured out the wolf pack. Then it was like I couldn't guess wrong if I tried.

Gah!
I am totally addicted to this now.
Thanks for the link!

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-14 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Let's see if you thank me after the bloodshot eyes.

[identity profile] hilleviw.livejournal.com 2006-10-15 03:52 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks for that. 'Cause I was desperate for a new way to procrastinate.

Wait a minute. You mean that m&ms now comes in DARK CHOCOLATE?

*mouth waters

[identity profile] lusciousxander.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 11:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, hon, I'm writing a Spander fic for Fall For X/S, and my date is due on Nov the 30th. My fic features the ugly side of Xander, a character study on a very fucked up Xander Harris, and I remembered your Dark!Xander ficthon. Is it acceptable if I shared this fic with the other Dark!Xander fics?

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 12:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure. :-)

Just so long as it doesn't involve sexually exploitive slavery (which I know it probably won't, just obligated to say). It's cool.

[identity profile] lusciousxander.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
No, don't worry, no slavery of any kind, just Xander being bad *g* and abusing Spike.

[identity profile] deannawol.livejournal.com 2006-10-16 02:28 pm (UTC)(link)
*grin* Two days of my life!! Two day!! It's too damned addictive! But finished finally... But I had to turn off the sound after the first hour or two ... Sleep now?
