Angel the Series

Angel for [livejournal.com profile] lostakasha
Somewhere Down the Road by Barry Manilow
We had the right love
At the wrong time
Maybe we've only just begun,
Maybe the best is yet to come...

Hero by Nickelback
Someone told me love will all save us.
But how can that be, look what love gave us.
A world full of killing, and blood-spilling
that won't never came.
And they say that a hero can save us.
I’m not gonna stand here and wait.
I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles.
Watch as we all fly away.

End of the World As We Know It by Great Big Sea
That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane —
Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn —
World serves its own needs, don't misserve your own needs. Feed it up a knock,
speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height,
down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for
hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies
breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered
crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population,
common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its
own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the
reverent in the right —
Right.
You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Lorne (Krevlornswath of The Deathwalk Clan) for [livejournal.com profile] pinkdormouse
Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
And the dream that you dare to...
Oh why, oh why can't I?
Well I see trees of green, and red roses too
I'll watch them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself:
What a wonderful world...

This Charming Man by The Smiths
I would go out tonight,
But I haven't got a stitch to wear.
This man said,
"It's gruesome
That someone so handsome should care."
A jumped-up pantry boy,
Who never knew his place.
He said, "Return the ring."
He knows so much about these things;
He knows so much about these things

Let Me Entertain You by Robbie Williams
Hell is gone and heaven's here,
There's nothing left for you to fear,
So shake your arse come over here.
Now scream.
I'm a burning effigy
Of everything I used to be.
You're my rock of empathy, my dear,
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you.

Project Page for the Lorne (Krevlornswath of The Deathwalk Clan) Mini-Soundtrack

Wesley Wyndham-Pryce for [livejournal.com profile] spiralleds
Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood by Santa Esmerelda
If I seem edgy
I want you to know
That I never meant to take it out on you.
Life has its problems
And I got my share
And that's one thing I never meant to do
'Cause I love you.
Baby, don't you know I'm just human
And I've got thoughts like any other man
And sometimes I find myself, oh Lord, regretting
Some foolish thing, some foolish thing I've done.
But I'm just a soul whose intentions are good
Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood

Mr. Brightside by The Killers
He takes off her dress now.
Let me go,
And I just can't look.
It's killing me
And taking control.
Jealousy
Turning saints into the sea
Turning through sick lullaby
Joking on your alibi
But it's just the price I pay
Destiny is calling me
Open up my eager eyes
I'm Mr. Brightside.

Cigarettes & Chocolate by Rufus Wainwright
And then theres those other things,
Which for several reasons we won't mention
Everything about them is a little bit stranger, a little bit harder,
A little bit deadly.
Its not very smart
Tends to make one part
So brokenhearted.

Project Page for the Wesley Wyndham-Pryce Mini-Soundtrack

Babylon 5

Michael Garibaldi for [livejournal.com profile] ponders_life
Theme from The Animaniacs
We're An-i-man-i-acs
We have play for play contracts
We're zany to the max
There's baloney in our slacks
We're An-i-man-ee
Totally and zany
Here's the shows namey
An-i-man-i-acs
Those are the facts!

Everybody Knows by Leonard Cohen
Everybody knows that the dice are loaded
Everybody rolls with their fingers crossed
Everybody knows that the war is over
Everybody knows the good guys lost
Everybody knows the fight was fixed
The poor stay poor, the rich get rich
That's how it goes
Everybody knows

Monsters by Something for Kate
Yeah I was hiding away under water
Waiting for distance and buying some time
Trying to be two hundred thousand years younger
So I could excuse myself from human kind
'Cos I don't want to be a container
Or a bastard with a ten page disclaimer
But these monsters spin me around
Get me down
Just try and shut me out

Project Page for the Michael Garibaldi Mini-Soundtrack

G'Kar for [livejournal.com profile] keith5by5
Anthem from Chess (Original London Cast)
And you ask why I love her
Through wars, death, and despair?
She is the constant,
We who don't care.
And you wonder will I leave her — but how?
I cross over borders, but I'm still there now!
How can I leave her?
Where would I start?
My land's only borders lie
Around my heart.

We Shall Be Free by Garth Brooks
This ain't comin from no prophet,
Just an ordinary man.
When I close my eyes I see
The way this world shall be
When we all walk hand in hand,
When the last child cries for a crust of bread,
When the last man dies for just words that he said,
When there's shelter over the poorest head,
We shall be free.

People Get Ready by The Impressions
People get ready, there's a train comin'.
You don't need no baggage, you just get on board.
All you need is faith to hear the diesels hummin'.
You don't need no ticket, you just thank the Lord.
People get ready, there's a train to Jordan,
Picking up passengers coast to coast,
Faith is the key, open the doors and board them.
There's hope for all among those who loved the most,
There ain't no room for the hopeless sinner,
Whom would hurt all mankind
Just to save his own.
Have pity on those whose chances grow thinner
For there is no hiding place against the Kingdom's throne.

Project Page for the G'Kar Mini-Soundtrack

Susan Ivanova for [livejournal.com profile] grey_bard
I Am a Rock (Accoustic) by Paul Simon (pre-Simon & Garfunkle)
Dont talk of love,
But Ive heard the words before;
It's sleeping in my memory.
I wont disturb the slumber of feelings that have died.
If I never loved I never would have cried.
I am a rock,
I am an island.

Five Candles by Jars of Clay
I remember you said
Love was more than your good intentions
Empty boxes on the floor
Things I never asked you for
I pray that when the wick is burned
You would say that it's all about love
You were there when I needed you
You were there when the skies broke wide, wide open
You were there when I needed you
You were there when the skies broke wide, wide open

Move On from Sunday in the Park with George by Bernadette Peters & Mandy Patinkin
Stop worrying where you're going.
Move on.
If you can know where you're going,
You've gone.
Just keep moving on.
I chose, and my world was shaken.
So what?
The choice may have been mistaken,
But choosing was not.
You have to move on.
Look at what you want,
Not at where you are,
Not at what you'll be.
Look at all the things you've done for me...

Project Page for the Susan Ivanova Mini-Soundtrack

Battlestar Galactica

Gaius Baltar for [livejournal.com profile] kurukami
Mr. Self-Destruct by Nine Inch Nails
I am the voice inside your head, and I control you
I am the lover in your bed, and I control you
I am the sex that you provide, and I control you
I am the hate you try to hide, and I control you
I take you where you want to go
I give you all you need to know
I drag you down, I use you up
Mr. Self-destruct
I speak religion's message clear, and I control you
I am denial guilt and fear, and I control you

Under Pressure by Queen and David Bowie
Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure
That burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Um ba ba bay
Um ba ba bay
Dee day duh
Ee day duh
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming get me out!
Tomorrow takes me higher
Pressure on people
People on streets

Satellite by The Hooters
Hey satellite man, your time has come,
Your word received by everyone.
And should you fall, well, that's okay,
You love the ones that you betray.
So jump in the river and learn to swim,
God's gonna wash away all your sins.
And when at last you see the light,
God's gonna buy you a satellite.

Project Page for the Gaius Baltar Mini-Soundtrack

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Alexander "Xander" Harris for [livejournal.com profile] mandylancast
If You Ever Did Believe by Stevie Nicks
I continue to build a wall
You were so strong
I fell to my knees
And I don't think I can handle this at all
One more night
I'd like to lie and hold you
Yes and feel
To make you smile,
I'd like to be there for you
Have you forgotten me?

Hero (Live) by Pat McGee
She'll be your hero, when the lightning falls,
Tend to your head now, then break down the walls;
Promise you heaven, then drag you through hell.
She'll never look back
You might as well.
You'll be dragging this dragon around your life.
She's raging inside you,
Looks like another fight.
Back to bed and burned out, like a flame at both ends,
Scorching and thirsting for some time to mend.
Never thought much about it
And you never really do,
'Til the day comes she's leaving you.

Send It Up by Vertical Horizon
I'm all right by the way
Everyone saves the day
Sometimes I feel it
Send it up
Ah, send it up now
Send it up
Send it up to me

Project Page for the Alexander "Xander" Harris Mini-Soundtrack

Buffy Summers for [livejournal.com profile] stephanierb
Something's Always Wrong by Toad (Accoustic) the Wet Sprocket
Again
(Again we fail)
It seems we meet
(Meet and mend)
In the spaces
(In the spaces safe)
In between
(Between intents)
We always say
(Said too much)
It won't be long
(Long been gone)
But something's always wrong

Alleluia by Dar Williams
I'm up in heaven now they say I'm here to stay,
Where the clouds are really puffy and the angels sing every day,
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia, Wo-oh...
The cafeteria's got everything it's gonna drive me mad,
'Cause it looks just like a big Hawaiian party that my mother had.
It's like the worst Elvis film I've ever seen,
Technicolor luau all on technicolor green.
There's camping trips and donkey rides and singing round the fire.
And they signed me up for surfing,
But they can't get me in the choir
Alleluia Alleluia Alleluia, Wo-oh...

Into the Fire by Sarah McLachlan
And into the fire.
I'm reunited.
Into the fire,
I am the spark.
Into the fire,
I yearn for comfort...
I will stare into the sun until its light doesn't blind me.
I will walk into the fire until its heat doesn't burn me,
And I will feed the fire.

Project Page for the Buffy Summers Mini-Soundtrack

Daniel "Oz" Osbourne for [livejournal.com profile] rileysaplank
Haunted by The Pogues
In the middle of nowhere
Didn't have nothing to do that day
Didn't wanna do nothing anyway
You got a way of walking
You got a way of talking
And there's something about you
And now I know I never ever
Want to be without you

Beast in Me (Live) by Martin Sexton
Every single time I come to this town
It brings out the worst in me
Decadence dries deep in the root of mine eyes
To bring out a thirst in me
Bust in to Burbank and buy a big beef jerky on Barham
Stare into the stockyard
Life in this car out on the road
Can be so easy
Then in the evening time
There's a welcome sight
In my lazy dream
I'm still hoping to find
The best in me is the beast in me
The best in me is the beast in me

Hellhound on My Trail by Eric Clapton
I got to keep moving, I got to keep moving
Blues falling down like hail, blues falling down like hail
Mmm, blues falling down like hail, blues falling down like hail
And the day keeps on remindin' me, there's a hellhound on my trail
Hellhound on my trail, hellhound on my trail.

Project Page for the Daniel "Oz" Osbourne Mini-Soundtrack

Faith Lehane for [livejournal.com profile] jgracio
Dirty Water by the Standells (Note: This song references the Boston Strangler)
Yeah, down by the river
Down by the banks of the River Charles
(Aw, that's what's happenin' baby)
That's where you'll find me
Along with lovers, muggers, and thieves
(Aw, but they're cool people)
Well I love that dirty water
Oh, Boston, you're my home

We Threw Gasoline on the Fire and Now We Have Stumps for Arms and No Eyebrows by NOFX
Brilliant
A word describing something dumb
You create to desecrate
The villain I've become
A prophet
Not to be made but heard
Speaks in tongues and sarcasms
To me its glee, to you absurd
You don't, know me let alone my intent
Actions do not always self represent
I dont feel urgency in explaining
My conscience opaquely clear

Pain (Slayer Mix) by Four Star Mary
Do not (fuck) with me
Loaded, loaded up this gun
There's a killer in me
Hoping, hope that you're the one
But you always run away
When I come around
I don't mind the day
I'll track you down
And terrify
Pain
I can't sleep

Project Page for the Faith Lehane Mini-Soundtrack

Rupert Giles for [livejournal.com profile] callmesandy
Spooky by Dusty Springfield
You always keep me guessing
I never seem to know what you are thinking
And if a girl looks at you
It’s for sure your little eye will be a-winking
I get confused, I never know where I stand
And then you smile and hold my hand
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you
Spooky

Patterns by Simon & Garfunkel
From the moment of my birth
To the instant of my death,
There are patterns I must follow
Just as I must breathe each breath.
Like a rat in a maze
The path before me lies,
And the pattern never alters
Until the rat dies.

Landslide (Live) by Fleetwood Mac
Well, I've been afraid of changing
'Cause I've built my life around you.
But time makes you bolder,
Children get older
I'm getting older, too.

Project Page for the Rupert Giles Mini-Soundtrack

Willow Rosenberg for [livejournal.com profile] invisionary
Supermodels by Kendall Payne
Well think it over once or twice
What lasts the longest in this life?
Character, or rock-hard thighs?
In the end do you believe
That beauty lies in what you see?
'Cause if you do, then baby you been deceived.
Well, me and B, indeed we hate supermodels.
It's not that we know any one personally.
It's just that I'm tired of being compared.

Blue on Black by Kenny Wayne Shepherd
Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on shove
Don't mean much
Joker on Jack
Match on a fire
Cold on ice
A dead man's touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn't mean a thing
Won't bring you back
Blue on black.

Oh How the Years Go By by Amy Grant
As the years go by
There were times we stumbled
They thought they had us down
But we came around
How we rolled and rambled
We got lost and we got found
Now we're back on solid ground
We took everything
All our times would bring
In this world of dangers
'Cause when your heart is strong
You know you're not alone
In this world of strangers

Project Page for the Willow Rosenberg Mini-Soundtrack

Dead Like Me

Daisy Adair for [livejournal.com profile] bellatemple
Mercedes Benz by Janis Joplin
Oh Lord, won't you buy me a night on the town?
I'm counting on you, lord, please dont let me down.
Prove that you love me and buy the next round.
Oh Lord, wont you buy me a night on the town?

Sideline Junkies by Terami Hirsch
Well, how many times
Do you have to change your clothes?
Do you have to change your face
To fit in?
Once we were much better than that
And we used to laugh
About people and their games
We were sideline junkies smitten by the way
We could watch but never play.

Ghost of Mae West by Trailer Bride
She's mad as hell
'Cause she no longer has time
And she wants to be loved
She's got a song to be sung
She loved to crack a joke
Just to ease the pain
When the sun sines in the rain

Project Page for the Daisy Adair Mini-Soundtrack

Mason for [livejournal.com profile] sunnyd_lite
White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's off with her head
Remember what the Dormouse said:
"Feed your Head
Feed your Head!"

To Have and Have Not by Billy Bragg
Just because you're better than me
Doesn't mean I'm lazy
Just because you're going forwards
Doesn't mean I'm going backwards.

With a Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker
What would you do if I sang out of tune?
Would you stand up and walk out on me?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song,
I will try not to sing out of key.
Ohh baby I get by,
(By with a little help of my friends).
All I need is my buddies
(Try with a little help of my friends)
I said I want to get high I will
(High with a litte helpd from my friends)
Who-hoo-hoo-yeah.

Sittin' Here in Limbo (A Capella) by The Bobs
I don't know where life will take me,
But I know where I have been.
I don't know what life will show me,
But I know what I have seen.
Tried my hand at love and friendship,
That is past and gone.
This little girl is moving on.

Strange Little Girl by Tori Amos
Strange little girl
Where are you going?
Strange little girl
Where are you going?
Do you know where you could be going?
Walking home in her wrapped up world
She survived but she's feeling old
'Cuz she found all things cold

Cruel to be Kind by Nick Lowe
Cruel to be kind
In the right measure
Cruel to be kind
It's a very good sign
Cruel to be kind means that I love you
Baby, got to be cruel,
You got to be cruel to be kind.

Project Page for the Roxy Mini-Soundtrack

Some Flowers Bloom Dead by The Wallflowers
Now in another world
I could learn to forget
But 'til then I'm here
Making room for new regrets.
Now some flowers they never bloom,
But some flowers just bloom dead.
Now some flowers they never bloom,
And some flowers just bloom dead

Watching Over You by Holly McNarland
I know you.
Everyone knows how to bleed.
You know me,
And things we all need.
Watching over you,
and they're watching over me
Watching over you.
They're watching over me
Building our trenches.

Project Page for the Rube Sofer Mini-Soundtrack

Discworld

Sir Samuel Vimes for [livejournal.com profile] nemo_gravis
Town Called Malice by The Jam
Better stop dreaming of the quiet life.
'Cos it's the one well never know.
And quit running for that runaway bus
'Cos those rosey days are few.
And stop apologising for the things youve never done,
'Cos time is short and life is cruel,
But it's up to us to change
This town called malice.

The Warrior's Code by The Dropkick Murphys
You're the fighter you've got the fire.
The spirit of a warrior, the champion's heart,
You fight for your life because the fighter never quits.
You make the most of the hand you're dealt,
Because the quitter never wins.
No!

I Fought the Law by The Clash

Doctor Who

Rose Tyler for [livejournal.com profile] mara_sho
Everyman's Daughter by Over the Rhine
Look inside for the elusive goldmine.
Broken glass and a little cheap wine
Is all that I can find.
And bundles of contradictions,
My heart full of loose connections,
Hands across my eyes.
I cannot disguise that I'm everyman's daughter.

The Whole of the Moon by The Waterboys
I was grounded,
While you filled the skies,
I was dumbfounded by truths,
You cut through lies.
I saw the rain-dirty valley,
You saw Brigadoon.
I saw the crescent,
You saw the whole of the moon!

Dr. Who on Holiday by Dean Gray
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies
This is the dawning of the rest of our lives
On holiday
Hear the drum pounding out of time
Another protestor has crossed the line (Hey!)
To find, the money's on the other side

Project Page for the Rose Tyler Mini-Soundtrack

The Ninth Doctor for [livejournal.com profile] semirhage527
I Am a Man of Constant Sorrow by "The Soggy Bottom Boys (from O Brother, Where Art Thou?)

The Last Unicorn by Kenny Loggins
When the last moon is cast,
Over the last star of morning,
And the future is past,
Without even a last desparate warning.
Then look into the sky where through,
The cloudes a path is formed.
Look and see her, how she shimmers,
It's the last unicorn!
I'm alive... I'm alive!

Turn, Turn, Turn by The Byrds
To everything
(Turn, turn, turn)
There is a season
(Turn, turn, turn)
And a time for every purpose, under heaven.
A time to gain, a time to lose,
A time to rend, a time to sew,
A time to love, a time to hate,
A time for peace, I swear its not too late.

Aeryn Sun for [livejournal.com profile] moooleeesssaaa
She's Not Innocent by Antigone Rising
He casts a shadow down the block, he can't remember
Just how to start or when to stop, fight or defend her.
He shines the light into the dark and empty corner
Right where the past had left its mark
Too late to warn her.
But she's fine, she's not innocent
She's fine in all her discontent
She knows it's always been the same.
It'll always be that way.

Strong Enough by Sheryl Crow
I have a face I cannot show.
I make the rules up as I go.
It’s try and love me if you can.
Are you strong enough to be my man?
When I’ve shown you that I just don’t care,
When I’m throwing punches in the air,
When I’m broken down and I can’t stand,
Will you be strong enough to be my man?

Surrounded by Chantal Kreviazuk
I was there.
Come on, tell me I wasn't worth
Stickin' it out for.
Well, I was there,
And I know I was worth it, 'cause if I wasn't worth it
That makes me worse off than you are.
It's all around me,
It's all around me,
I'm surrounded.
You know it's all around me,
It's all around me,
You surround me like a circle.
But don't you lose sight of me now,
Don't you lose sight of me now.

Little Black Mess by Shivaree
I'll play my part

It fits like a glove now
My little black mess.

It's grape shot and musket and the cannons lumber loud
There's many a mangled body, a blanket for a shroud
There's many a mangled body left on the field alone.
I am a rebel soldier and far from my home.

I Won't Back Down by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Well I won't back down,
No I won't back down.
You can stand me up at the gates of hell,
But I won't back down.
Gonna stand my ground,
Won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin me down.
Gonna stand my ground and I won't back down.
Hey baby,
There ain't no easy way out.
Hey, I will stand my ground,
And I wont back down.

One Way by the Levellers
And the problems of the world
Won't be solved by this guitar
And they won't stop coming either
By the life I've had so far.
And the bright lights of my home town
Won't be getting any dimer
Though their calling has receded now
Like some old distant singer
And they don't seem so appealing
To the eyes of this poor sinner.
There's only one way of Life
And that's your own...

Heh on Daisy Adair.

I kind of like the sheer bounciness of the Dr. Who on Holiday song because it's all so new to Rose. At least I got basic bounciness out of Rose for S1 (which just finished airing here in the U.S.).

The Doctor's is strangely more...melancholy since it is the Ninth Doctor. I haven't seen enough of the Tenth Doctor to really make a judgement.

Saying that I'm impressed is... well... an understatement. Not all of the songs were my usual taste (of course) but there wasn't a single one of Faith, Daisy's or Rose's tracks that I didn't a) listen to and enjoy and b) think "YES! That's so appropriate." And I simply LOVED the track "Dr. Who on Holiday". "Gasoline on the Fire" I only loved until the guy started singing. :-)

How do you do this? Surely you've not listened so widely and remembered so precisely that you just recall these tracks? Do you search on the lyrics by key words?

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-28 03:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I actually do have a frightening memory for musical pieces. When I worked in the Bordersverse, I spent a lot of time working in the music department because I was pretty good at retaining genres, names of groups, songs, etc.

Of course, at home also aided by very powerful library software for CDs and MP3s. I have almost 2,000 CDs (thanks to a lot of demos when I worked at Borders) and approximately 20 GB of MP3s, so library software is the only way to keep track of what I have (and my libraries are out of date, so it's my task for this weekend anyway).

I can search by metadata, song titles, artists and things like that. I don't key word anything (although I could). Usually if I see the metadata on the MP3 or the CD, I can pretty much recall something about that artist or the titles and then I'll just do a quick sample to see if it fits. From there, I organize the tunes into folders and viola! Soundtrack.

Your Rose Tyler FST was killer, so perfect it is eerie.

Have you seen 2nd season?

The only 2nd season one I saw was the reunion with Sarah Jane (I ruv her) and that's because I deliberately sought out a DL (because I ruv her...in case I fergit to metnion).

The fact that ASH was also in that episode? Not even considered a bonus because...Sarah Jane just rules is all.

Leela of the Sevatem comes a close second.

We're supposed to get 2nd season here sometime in October accoring to a little bird.

The Rose Tyler FST is based on the character when she was with Nine. I'll do a happy dance if it matches up with her time with Ten.

wow, the Faith songs are great, I love dirty Water. (never heard it before but I really am enjoying it. In fact to be honest most of the songs on the lists are new to me, with a few exceptions (like pain) and I like all of them.)

As I said the Faith songs are fitting, the Xander ones even more so through in man ways. I don't know how exactly but listening to them they do seem like 'his' songs somehow.

Of course if I was being honest these where the two soundtracks I Knew you would get right, after all you've already shown you understand the chars so well. As for the rose list you continued to present a great list of songs that fitted in char. (and how can I not love Dr Who on Holiday I'm in your debt just for this song alone)

Th only list I've not downloaded is the Daisy Adair, but I never really caught Dead Like me, so even if I did knowing nothing about the char I couldn't say if it was fitting or not. Anyway thank you for this and I can't wait to hear the rest.

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
'Dirty Water' is practically the City of Boston anthem. Just about every radio station around here plays snatches of it as part of their station identification, but I know it's one of those songs that simply not known outside of the Greater Boston Area. Glad you liked it. The fact that it references the Boston Strangler (when BS was running around loose, there was a 12 midnight curfew on all women in the city) shouldn't creep you out at all. :-)

The Xander ones were actually harder to find than I thought. Most of the characters already have at least one song attached to them and a few that have moved around. So, it's shaping up pretty good this project.

Loved both Xander and Faith!! "Pain" is a fave.

Glad you liked them both.

I'm definitely hunting special like for Firefly, but my country collection is slightly limited. :-(

I'll find something.

These are great, thanks! I've downloaded the BtVS and Dead Like Me ones (I'm not really familiar with Dr. Who). I don't know most of the songs, so, new songs, yay!

More are coming, so keep your eyes peeled. Let me know what you think.

Buffy Summers

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 01:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Already closed the requests thread (I kept it open for 24 hours). But Buffy has already been claimed in any case. :-)

I'm going to be uploading stuff in dribs and drabs.

Love the Lorne choices there. Shall be downloading them as soon as I'm awake.

Thanks loads.

I listened to Dr. Who on Holiday and Everyman's Daughter. I think it's time I updated my music collection...Thank you for doing this!

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-29 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Meanwhile, my music collection is way to flipping large. I'm uploading my CDs to my updated library software.

I haven't even begun to sort out the MP3s.

Glad you're liking the tunes so far.

5 down....3 to go.

You've got such a great handle on our boy Xander. I think I'll listen to this while I write my next chapter.

:-)

5 down....33 soundtracks to go. I'm insane.

Love the Faith songs, I'm gonna have to find the lyrics.

And DL the rest. :)

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
All the lyrics will be fairly easy to find for Faith.

Dirty Water is kind of like Boston's theme song. It doesn't get a lot of airplay outside of the Greater Boston area, but all the radio stations use the chorus it as part of their station identification.

A bit of trivia: The song makes explicit reference to The Boston Strangler.

Let me know if you like.

There are more coming. Just uploaded two tonight.

Now I've got 31 requests to go...

Ooh, shiny!

I'm in the midst of downloading the whole Faith Lehane set, very cool. And the Israel Kamakawiwo'ole medley is a great choice for Lorne (even though I didn't dl it), as is This Charming Man (I have that one already).

Thanks much!

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Since you said shiny...I just uploaded a Malcolm Reynolds mini-soundtrack.

Now I have fulfill Jayne, River, and Zoe which were the other three requests in Firefly.

My brain hurts.

I know you said you'd welcome multiple posts, but I plan on downloading everything (yeah for the new i-pod!) so take it as read that everytime you post something new, I snag it.

And may I say, your powers of musical knowledge AND choice amaze me.

[identity profile] liz-marcs.livejournal.com 2006-06-30 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Really, for Malcolm, the real problem was not downloading the whole of the Songs of the Songs of the Civil War soundtrack for him. Waylon's 'The Rebel Soldier' was just non-specific enough to make it work.

Tom Petty was a bit of a gimme because, really, 'I Won't Back Down' is "I aim to misbehave" set to pretty words.

The last one, the lyrics fit, but the music actually gave me a little pause on this one. I actually sat on Mal for something like 24 hours because of the Levellers, before going with the song based on the lyrics.

As for Charlie Brown? Duuuude, I own the Charlie Brown Suite. On CD. In its entirety.

I think there's something wrong with me.
