Oh, that was great. I never saw the Buffy shows up ending coming, although judging by comments it took you by surprise too. Loved the dialogue, the sense of place, the darkness and confusion of it all, the blurry line of where Xander and Faith ended and their vampire selves began. This story had me so off balance that with Buffy behaving so strangely there was even a shaky moment when I wondered if she was a vamp too -- that would have been dark upon dark, but I'm so glad she wasn't, I love strong, intelligent, fiercly loyal Buffy. The only thing is that now I keep wondering what ensouled Xander and Faith would be like. It would be fascinating. Any chance of a sequel one day?
