It's kind of strange. My husband spent his formative years in Vermont and was a part of several choral groups. He claims that if you wanted to sing in New England you didn't have to go very far to find a choral group, barbershoppers, etc. He's rather disappointed that here in the "Music Capitol of the World" (or so we're told) with a much larger population, there are only 2 or 3.
