Your Xander and my Xander have always been pretty much the same person. Remember that I'm reading all these chapters in one alcohol fueled evening. So, if my logic is fuzzy, blame it on the booze. Anyway, here goes with the feedback:
First, regarding Spike...I've always been a Spike fan, and beyond that a redemptionista. Your Spike is working pretty well for me in this story, and that flash of painful empathy or insight or whatever it was regarding Spike's basement adventures really hit home.
Giles, Giles, Giles. This is hurting you, but it's not going to stop you, is it?
Your Buffy is gorgeous, as is your Faith.
Am I supposed to want to smack Willow? I mean, I pretty much always do want to smack her, and this is no exception.
Your writing, as always, is beautiful and taut and sharp as hell. Not a superfluous word.
So, yeah, I pretty much love it all. But now I need comfort food. Maybe chocolate. And I'm braced for impact. And kind of teary. Really, this story reminds me yet again why I friended you in the first place (not that I needed reminding) and why I fell in love with fanfic.
