Except the rhetoric is real here-- it is the value (or at least sanity)of one indivdual against the very real threat of the world going to hell in a handbasket.

The same argument was made during the arc with Dawn and Glory. Someone /has/ to take that position even if it is an unbearable one.

I still disagree even if I can understand.

Buffy and Co. are heroes; Giles isn't.
