I sort of understand the reasons that are keeping Alex as Alex but neither Spike nor I have to like them.

Again Giles has the weight of the world on his "elderly" shoulders and is trying to justify the means but no one is having an easy time of it in this fic. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that somehow things will turn out all right at the end.
