This was a tense, tight chapter, and I ended up wanting to punch Giles and hug Alex. You've got me emotionally invested here, though I can't see how this can end well.

What did they promise? That Xander would face this apocalypse whole again? I love Buffy and Spike being so angry for him. Does this mean Xander will be irretrievable once the spell is completed? Thanks for another wonderful chapter.
