To be fair, Buffy and Spike are fighting *for* Alex (or is that Xander?). And Willow really is all about protecting Alex (or is that Xander?) from getting killed. Giles is the one taking the hardline because he's more worried about the world entire.

Pity Alex just doesn't have a clue as to what's going on.
