Oh right. I did pick up on the hints that the books contained a trigger of some kind but I thought it was some sort of reinforcement to the brainwashing he originally recieved and the reason he started having awful dreams was because he hadn't read the book with the trigger phrase. Kind of like that movie with Mel Gibson where he was compelled to buy Catcher in the Rye. Although I think that was actually so the government could keep track of him. I forgot about about the alligator thing....
