See, when I was a wee lad? Completely didn't read old school science-fiction or fantasy. I was a detective/mystery story nerd. Went from Encyclopedia Brown to the Three Investigators to the Hardy Boys (and god help me, even some Nancy Drew) to Sherlock Holmes to Agatha Christie, etc. (I read every Three Investigators book the library had years before I found who Alfred Hitchcock actually was or what he did.)

However, if you still want to invalidate my geek card, I'll admit my great cinematic shame: I've never watched any of the Godfather movies.
