You hit the nail on the head. I understand political realities. I understand that the age of Harry in the art is questionable... he could be 16 or 21. I understand that a DA could use some legal grandstanding to make and example out of 6A/LJ that would cost them in legal fees and bad publicity. I get all that. The picture put LJ in a tough spot.

But you're absolutely right. LJ STOLE from these people. They set up a rule that was so poorly worded as to be meaningless. The refused to clarify. They deleted people who obviously thought they were okay. And they kept the money because from what I hear, one of the artists had a permanent account.

That goes past poor customer service. That's horrifying. And then one of those jerks goes into a satire forum and makes fun of fandom. I'm not a fan of Snape/Harry. It squicks the hell out of me truth be told. I'm not a fan of that artwork, or other artwork that could be interpreted as underage because I don't want LiveJournal showing up in the news with the president being charged with corrupting a minor and my school cutting off school-related functions I run through some LJ communities. But even more than that, I'm not a fan of the general stupidity at the 6A home office.
