Seriously, I'm reading this going, HUH? What weirdo definition of "vigilantism" are you using that would exclude this behavior? It's PRECISELY vigilantism. Tha's Webster auntee_mame is quoting: their second def says: "broadly : a self-appointed doer of justice."
