Does Anyone Use Lala.com?

I've been eyeballing various options to get rid of CDs I don't particularly want and I came across
Lala, the online CD exchange.

Has anyone used Lala? Can anyone tell me anything about it?

Thanks.

I use http://chancexchange.com myself. It has all kinds of stuff, but CDs is one of the larger sections. I've found a couple neat books m'self.

I've never used Lala but last summer I did a trade in with Millennium Music. I did in person but they'll do it over the web as well. I gave them 150 CDs, they took all but 12 of them, the next day they asked me for $40 (to make up for the credits for the 12 discs they didn't take), I walked out with a 60 gig iPod (still in the box and new).

I could have gotten more money for my discs elsewhere or if I sold them piecemeal. But I loved the ease of walking in with boxes of discs and leaving with an iPod.

try switchplanet.com

Lala is awesome. Its a great way to reshuffle your collection. I got rid of my pop CDs from my junior high days (hootie, alanis, counting crows) for newer stuff (shins, incubus, chili peppers). Really easy to use and fun to trade CDs around by mail.

lala rocks. i've been trading consistently for the past year and i've been receiving music i actually want the whole time. also discovered some new bands along the way. a bunch of my friends have signed up and gotten really into it too. i'd definitely recommend this service to others

i've used lala consistently for the past year or so and it's worked great. i get to trade in my old CDs for CDs that i actually want. it beats going to the record store and getting $3 for my old CD while paying $9-$11 for another used CD. it's efficient and i've discovered a bunch of new bands along the way. definitely try it out if you've got a bunch of old CDs you'd like to get rid of.
