You know, once upon a time, there was (or still is?) a rather beautiful fic on the Pit about a Kennedy/Xander-Pairing. And while yes, this one is marked Faith/Xander/Spike, I'm loving the Vampire!-backstory. And yes, the fic is still funny - during the first page, I laughed several times - the mentioning of Angel, for example.
Yes, Xander is - right now - too starved, and he should do something about it; it kind of reminds me of Boomer talking to Adama in her cell, in 3x02, with "Forgive yourself". Xander, of course, can't do this - and IF he forgives himself, it'll be still hell in a handbasket. (by the way, LJ's spell checker comments on me using "handbasket" - did I write it the wrong way?)
Loved the ghostslayers; somehow, however, I wish they'd be real ghosts, and Xander had his own personal army of angry, violent, him-hating watchdogs.
As for Watcher-man: Uh, sorry, but the de-invitation spell? Isn't that thing standard procedure? So at least the "ohmygod, we invite him once and then can come in 4EVA!!!" panic spree could be countered?
Oh, and Willow? I understand what she did, and why she did it. However: She's got one subliminal message; why am I so afraid she got several others? Like, say, "If a slayer attacks you, fight back with full force." or "Don't die, whatever the cost!"? Could be because I don't trust brain-washers. Could be.
Well, at least the title makes me hopeful, seeing as everybody, sooner or later, goes to heaven. (Er, you did mean the title in the logical and not in the colloquial sense, yes?)
Am looking forward to the next chapter; but the same can be said for Water and Heart.
