I was lucky to learn from "old school" reporters who "retired" after the JOA had eliminated their jobs. The young pups kept reporting, and these gems taught the next generation of journalists. Unfortunately, by that time, journalism had morphed in to "mass media," and what we see today.

This all makes me very sad. I'm glad that you posted this, and that you blanket-granted permission to spread it. Otherwise, I never would have found another soul who understands *journalism.*
