I love this. You did a great job with a difficult subject -- I think showing Alterna!Xander's very human reactions went a long way toward softening the impact here. I actually found the chapter where Watcher!Xander rescued Haley and left the others to be much more disturbing than this one.

But then, I love darkfic. And from that angle, I think you could have gone farther with this if you'd wanted to. Maybe showing Alterna!Faith's POV would've done that. But as much as I would like to read a fic that was that dark, it wouldn't have fit with this fic. This really did fit, and very nicely too -- I love the way that events are transpiring to bring the conflict between the two Xanders to a head.
