It was...not fun. But like you said, it was necessary because it does inform how the Alternas view Xander. Their ultimate judgement on right/versus wrong depends on where and what the individual is focused on and who takes what stance probably will shock no one.
It's interesting how it informs AlternaFaith's and AlternaGiles's view, especially when the Willow/AlternaWillow plays out. It also makes AlternaXander more willing to believe a half-truth, half-lie OurBuffy deliberately drops in his lap to prevent AlternaXander from doing something she views as wrong (and potentially threatening to Xander).
So, yeah, it had to be here.
Not planing on revisiting this place in my head any time soon.
