Only very slightly, but surprisingly, not that much.
Part of it was that I switched pov's from AlternaXander to Faith, which took the nastiest edge off.
Dialogue-wise AlternaXander himself didn't get dialed back at all. What I did instead was dial up the people around him just slightly, mostly in the form of Anya defending herself a little more and in Faith worrying about a potential domestic situation. In the end, the tone balanced out so that it was similar, but not exactly the same.
The nasty atmosphere wasn't completely on AlternaXander's shoulders this time, but spread around a little more, mostly because Faith's the disinterested observer.
